‘Well Informed’ 1 hour Session

Screening -water‘Well Informed’ 1 hour Session is an education program that gives well owners the opportunity to have their well water samples to be screened for common contaminants including fecal coliform bacteria, nitrates, and high salinity. The screening of the water sample is followed by a 1 hour explanation of the screening results and water well protection practices and focuses on wellhead protection and recommendations for remediating well contamination.

April 17th, 2017 – Hood County, TX

Pick Up Containers // April 10-16

  • Pick up a sample bag, bottle and instructions from the AgriLife Extension office in Hood County.
  • Samples must be collected within 24 hours of drop off 

Drop Off // April 17

  • Drop off samples between 8:30–10 a.m. April 17 at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office for Hood County, Hood County Annex, Rm. 22, 1410 W. Pearl St. in Granbury. 

Results Meeting // April 18

  • A meeting explaining screening results will be held at 7 p.m., April 18 at the Texas Forest Service Building, 450 Howard Clemmons Drive in Granbury. 

April 17th, 2017 – Somervell County, TX  

Pick Up Containers // April 10-16

  • Pick up a sample bag, bottle and instructions from the AgriLife Extension office in Somervell County,1405 Texas Drive in Glen Rose.
  • Samples must be collected within 24 hours of drop off 

Drop Off // April 17

  • Drop off samples between 8:30–10 a.m. April 17 at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office Somervell County, 1405 Texas Drive in Glen Rose. 

Results Meeting // April 17

  • A meeting explaining screening results will be held at 7 p.m., April 17 at the Somervell County Community Center, 107 Shepard St., in Glen Rose. 

April 18th, 2017 – Parker County, TX 

Pick Up Containers // April 10-17

  • Pick up a sample bag, bottle and instructions from the AgriLife Extension office for Parker County, 604 N. Main St. Ste 200, in Weatherford.
  • Samples must be collected within 24 hours of drop off

  • Drop off samples between 8:30–10 a.m. April 18 at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office for Parker County, 604 N. Main St. Ste 200 in Weatherford

April 18th, 2017 – Palo Pinto County, TX

  • Samples must be collected within 24 hours of drop off
